Account Structure

Projects

In your account, you can create projects, e.g., E-Book, Whitepaper, or Annual report.

Project settings apply to every Foleon Doc in the project and include:

  • Hostname
  • Google Analytics code
  • MAP integration
  • Editions (archive)

Before you publish anything, it's important to know how projects are structured. The following article from our Help Center about "Working with projects" will be very important in understanding how to organize your Foleon Docs and how projects work.

Foleon Docs

You always publish your Foleon Doc in a project. You can decide to work on a single project or spread your Foleon Docs across numerous projects, for example, based on the use case or content type.

Governance

Brand Kit

As more people start creating, the need for processes and guardrails increases. Admins and Designers can use the Brand Kit to create centralized workspace themes that will apply to all projects and Foleon Docs in a particular workspace.

This effectively streamlines all creative work by helping content creators get off to a flying start and giving brand managers peace of mind.

Reduce complexity and collaborate more effectively with roles and permissions. Group users together in workspaces, determine which content belong to which workspace, and retain control over user access.

Stratified users

Users are categorized into Premium and Standard, and you can choose from several user roles with a fixed set of permission settings.

Workspaces

With workspaces, the account is split up into the main account and workspaces (divisions, countries, or departments). Users will only have access to the projects, templates, and media of the workspace(s) they are part of.

Users in the main account will have access to all workspaces and to their content, and will be able to share content from one workspace to another.

💡Tip: Depending on your plan, you can use block lock settings in your templates to prevent unwanted edits. This can be relevant for key company messaging.

Global Content Modules

Global Content Modules are reusable blocks that automatically sync across Foleon Docs. Admins or designers can update Modules from a central location, eliminating the need to manually update each Doc.

This streamlined approach saves time, minimizes errors, and enhances governance.

You use a template when content needs to be editable by any individual and doesn't need to be updated instantly. You use a global content module when you want centralized control over that specific content, such as pricing pages, legal disclaimers, company information, and key messaging.
